resolve vs return promise js

1In simple terms, inside a then handler function:

3A) When x is a value (number, string, etc):
4	- return x is equivalent to return Promise.resolve(x)
5	- throw x is equivalent to return Promise.reject(x)

7B) When x is a Promise that is already settled (not 
8pending anymore):
9	- return x is equivalent to return Promise.resolve(x), 
10      if the Promise was already resolved.
11	- return x is equivalent to return Promise.reject(x), 
12      if the Promise was already rejected.
13      
14C) When x is a Promise that is pending:
15	- return x will return a pending Promise, and it will 
16    be evaluated on the subsequent then.
